
Nagesh Singh has been selected for the World Cup in the over 50 years category
Veteran Cricket India has announced its 16-man squad for the Men’s Over-50 Cricket World Cup. The tournament will be held in Colombo, Sri Lanka in February 2025.

The players are selected for the Indian team after the performance of the players in the zonal level tournaments and rigorous fitness evaluations. Cricketer Nagesh Singh is also one of the selected in the team. Nagesh Singh is a right-arm pace bowling all-rounder and cricket coach. With over 40 years of cricketing experience, he is a seasoned cricketer, mentor and dedicated contributor to the world of cricket. His cricketing journey has spanned from playing with legends to representing the nation on international platforms. It inspires young and experienced players alike.


His cricketing journey started in Indira Nagar, Bangalore in the early days. There, he played with Rahul Dravid and honed his skills.This development laid the foundation for his extraordinary career in cricket.

Nagesh Singh’s career highlights include playing for 30 years with Jai Karnataka Cricketers, one of Karnataka’s best teams in tennis ball cricket.
Participated in the prestigious Raj Kapoor Memorial Tournament organized by Mithun Chakraborty and Jackie Shroff in Chembur, Mumbai. He also displayed exceptional performance and sportsmanship in the 3rd and 4th division of the Karnataka State Cricket Association (KSCA) league.

Talking about his international representation, he represented India at the age of 51 in Masters World Indoor Cricket World Cup (Over 35age category) held in Cape Town, South Africa in 2019. At the age of 56, he represented India in the 2024 Over 40+ World Indoor Cricket World Cup held in Sri Lanka as the Plate Runner Up.

Participating in the inaugural edition of the Karnataka Indoor Cricket League in 2020, Nagesh Singh was adjudged the best bowler of the tournament.
Represented South Zone in all three editions of Veterans Cricket India (VCI) Zonal Tournaments held in Chennai, Indore and Delhi.

He has been serving as a cricket coach at Rx Cricket Academy for the past 6 years.His mission is to pass on his knowledge, skills and passion for cricket to the younger generation. Through his coaching and mentoring, he strives to build the next generation of cricketers.
