
Naveen Cricketers’ “Naveen XI Trophy” to be held in UAE on November 30
The final preparations are in full swing for the “Naveen XI Trophy” cricket tournament to be held on November 30 at the AKW Sports Ground — Umm Al Quwain (UMQ) in the United Arab Emirates. The tournament, organized by Naveen Cricketers, is being organized in memory of the late Imran Kaup, a talented cricketer who passed away untimely.
Imran, a native of Kaup, was a businessman in Dubai who developed a great love for cricket. Imran, who was a good player, was admired by everyone for his kind heart and willingness to help. The organizers say that this tournament is being organized to honor his memory.
A total of 12 teams will be participating, 6 teams from Karnataka and 6 teams from abroad, increasing international competitiveness.
The prize money for the tournament is as follows:
**1st Prize — AED 12,000** (Indian Rupees approx. **₹ 2,76,000**)
**2nd Prize — AED 7,000** (Indian Rupees approx. **₹ 1,61,000**)
Cricket fans and sports enthusiasts have shown great interest in this international tournament.On this occasion, Sports Kannada representative Vitthal Rishan Nayak will visit the Umm Al Quwain (UMQ) ground as a special guest.
